Zach Weir Grafton QB Class of 2020 6'2 175

Zach Weir how was your 2018 season?

Outstanding, we went to the playoffs for Grafton High Schools first time in 20+ years in a very tough division.

How did feel finally getting into the playoffs?

It felt great to help lead the team. Looking to build of that experience and take Grafton back to a state championship in 2019.

What should college coaches know about you?

I’ve played football since I was 5 years old and grew a love for the game. I am very passionate about training and getting better everyday. I feel that I am a leader on and off the field because I lead by example.

What does your summer college camp schedule look like?

I have had many invites and going through scheduling as we speak. Early thoughts right now include a junior day visit with Minnesota State Moorhead next Friday; April 27th WFCA combine in Sussex, WI; Early May Meeting with Coach Famiglietti; May 28 Southern Illinois; May 31 Mega Camp at Lindenwood; June 8 Chicagoland showcase at Northwestern; June 12 Northern State; June 20 North Dakota; June 21 NDSU; June 27 Illinois State; July 28 Montana.

What do you like about playing QB?

I like the leadership role and love to compete. I also like throwing the ball. There is nothing better than completing passes to my teammates. I enjoy being able to have a impact in helping my team win.

How is Grafton looking this upcoming season?

Very bright outlook, we have 15 returning seniors and we are training hard together throughout the week. We also have a very solid coaching staff returning.

Who are some players I should I keep an eye out for from Grafton?

I feel there are quite a few, but here are some names, JP Benzschawel has already verbally committed to UW-Madison. Joey Giorgi, Caleb Buback, Dominic Voiland, as well as myself.
