So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Aidan Ellinger Class Of 2020 Crystal Lake Central QB 6'0 190

Aidane Ellinger how was your 2018 season?

Overall I think that my teammates and I gave 110% on and off the field. Due to having a young team with a lack of experience on the varsity level, there is lots of room to grow for next year. With having lost a couple of key players from last years senior class, many new players were able to step up. I was able to work a lot with many of my lineman and wide receivers in the offseason to create a strong chemistry with them.

What was your favorite memory of last season?

Looking back, my favorite memory was the last game of the season against Jacobs. Not only was our team performance the strongest of the season, my wide receivers did their part allowing me to throw for over 500 yards in that game. Without my teams effort I would not be able to succeed throughout that last game. Even though we did not have an ideal season, we were able to come together that game and send our seniors off on a good note.

What schools have you talked to so far?

The schools that have shown the most interest in me at this point have been Harvard and Yale. I was invited by both of those schools this spring to visit and attend their camps in June. In addition, Holy Cross, NIU, Ball State, and Eastern Illinois have shown interest in me as well. Several other schools are currently in play. I am excited to see where this recruiting process can take me and am looking forward to any other opportunities that are ahead of me.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

Most importantly I am a well rounded student that cares about my achievements in the classroom, currently holding a 3.8 GPA. When it comes to football I am a team leader that gives 100% with anything I do. I am a very driven yet humble leader on and off the field. Coaches can expect full effort from me with anything I do.

What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason to improve yourself?

Throughout this offseason I have consistently worked on my overall strength and speed. I have also worked on being more agile in the pocket. My wide receivers and I have came together weekly to work on our passing game.

Who are some Crystal Lake Central players I should be on the lookout for this upcoming season?

I believe that all my teammates have something to offer but ones to lookout for are Drew Jenkins(11) WR class of 2020. As well as Jake White(28) WR/DB class of 2020.

"Senior Season" .... What does that mean to you?

I’ve been playing football since I was very young so for this to be my last year playing with my closest friends is surreal to me. This next year means everything. It is bittersweet in many ways but It is my goal to come out strong to make this last season at central my best and leave it all out on the field.
