Chatting With Lincoln Way East's Linebacker Jacob Kramer Class Of 2020 About Upcoming Season &am

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

Jacob Kramer Lincoln Way East Linebacker Class Of 2020 6'0 195

Jacob Kramer how was your 2018 season?

It was probably one of the best years of my life. I learned so much from our senior class, who were a great group of players and a even better group of guys. As everyone already knows it didn’t end the way we wanted or even thought it was going to but still that team will always be remembered as one of the greatest of all time.

What do you like about playing linebacker?

I may be a little biased but I think it’s the best position on the field. The physicality is my favorite part. Imposing your will on the other teams offensive line, running backs, and wide receivers every play for 48 minutes. There’s nothing else like it

What schools have you talked to?

I have talked to University of South Dakota, Drake University, Eastern Kentucky University, Southern Illinois University and a couple others

Along with West Point Academy

What do you think a big misconception about Lincoln Way East football is?

A lot of people think everything just get handed to us or that we only win because of all the athletes we have. I would love for any player or coach from any school to come and see how hard we work in the off season every single day and even during the season, it’s on a whole different level.

What should college coaches know about you?

I will do whatever it takes to get the job done day in and day out. Not afraid of the grind and grunt work. I can work to fit into any defensive scheme. Lastly, I will do anything for my brothers out there on the field when it comes to game time.

What goal do you have for yourself this upcoming season?

All the personal accolades and awards like all state and all conference would obviously be awesome, but I really have one goal and that’s to go 14-0 and win a state championship with my brothers and hopefully get back at the team that ruined our season last year.

Give me one player that you went up against that needs to be talked about more?

At East we having the saying that our best opponents are ourselves so with that I would say either Martin Hoban or Kevin Kuchta who will be our two anchors on the offensive line this year those guys are straight animals.
