Brock Griffin how was your 2018 season?
Is a great season, I transferred to Normal Community in the winter last year to play better competition. I earned a starting position as a junior and made all conference. We unfortunately fell short in the playoffs pretty early, but the team and myself will always have room for improvement.
What schools have you talked to so far?
Western Michigan, Toledo, Iowa State, University of Illinois, Nebraska, Missouri, Wyoming, Illinois State, Miami OH, Ball State, SIU, and Northern Illinois.
What would you like college coaches to know about you?
I would like them to know I’m willing to do whatever they ask of me.
What game are you most excited about for the upcoming season?
Our rivalry games against our in town rivals
What does football mean to you?
I see football as a part of me now. It’s like when you’ve been doing something for so long you just get used to it. I’ve been playing since I was very little and have always loved the game.
Toughest part about playing the line to you is?
The toughest part about being on the line for me is adjusting to certain teams blocking schemes right away or the way the o-line blocks. Every team I’ve played the kids techniques were all different and something to get used to after a few plays.
Who are some players on Normal I should be on the lookout for?
Quyncee Hunter, he’s a solid DE with great speed. Ethan Johnson, he’s a pretty big boy and has decent movement. I would also say our center Omar Abbed is pretty tough; he isn’t that tall but he’s got aggression and has a lot of potential. Jake Hileman, who is our running back, has some decent speed and is pretty strong. Otherwise our whole team is very solid
Who is funniest guy on the Normal team?
We have a lot of funny guys. We pretty much all have some good times together. I’d say the funniest I know is probably Omar our center.
