De'Aviyon Rockett how was your 2018 season?
We were 2-7...
I was disappointed but we're laying a strong foundation which to build on. Personally it was my first year playing Varsity football and I feel as if I had a solid season.
What should college coaches know about you?
I am a hard worker, I am athletic and coachable, very competitive, I push the people around me to be the best that they can be, I am a team player prepared to accept and take on whatever the team needs to be successful and at its best
What schools have you talked to?
I haven’t spoken to any schools yet. I’m looking forward to the upcoming spring.
Best performance in a game of your 2018 season?
My best performance in a game of my 2018 season was 2 Interceptions, 2 Touchdowns, Over 100 yards rushing, and approximately 10 tackles or more
What does football mean to you?
Football means the most to me. It’s like the heart to my body. Without it I feel as if I wouldn’t be able to live right. Football helps me with all my pain and anger and allows me to have fun while doing it. Football also allows me to see my mom happy and seeing her smile as I’m doing great on the field. And I soon wish I have the chance to take care of her for the rest of her life and never see her struggle again
What motivates a De'Aviyon Rockett?
My mother motivates me. She’s been my mom and my dad in my life and she has taught me that no matter how tough things may get to never give up and push forward and things will start to work your way. Also the love for the game is what motivates me. Without It I wouldn’t be me. Going on the field knowing I’m going to make someone happy is what I look forward to. Looking at current NFL stars living the dream and inspiring people and knowing that people look up to them like me is what drives me to want to work to get to that level and inspire others.
