Brian Tape Plainfield East DB Class of 2020 6'3 180
Brian Tape how do you feel you did at the Boom Showcase?
I feel that i did decent, but could’ve done better, it was my first time at a football camp/showcase so im just trying to get used to the talent and play to the best of my ability
How was your 2018 season?
My 2018 season didn’t go as planned, we finished 3-6, but always worked hard. I also switched to the defensive side of the ball so it was my first year at corner and i did fairly decent. Always room for improvement though.
What would you like college coaches to know about you?
I work hard on and off the field, also in and out of school. I try my best to perfect things so that i can help out my teammates because in the end you need chemistry to be a well rounded team.
What does football mean to you?
I’ve always loved football more than other sports growing up. I started in 6th grade and I’ve done nothing but grow thanks to my teammates and coaches. Football has allowed me to be patient, push through certain obstacles, and bond.
What needs to happen for Plainfield East to have a winning season?
I feel that if we can come together as one unit and not play individually, we can win more games. Last year it felt as if people were just doing their own thing. Also i believe if our coaches could all be on the same page it would help too.
What is your favorite route to defend against?
A fly route because im on the taller side and i feel that im able to be more versatile when the ball is thrown up. I like the 50/50 balls cause i like to go up and get it when the chance is there.
