Chase Mackey Class of 2022 Normal QB 6'1 175

Chase Mackey how was your freshman season?

I’d say we had a pretty good year as a team we finished 6-3. I personally would say I had very good season

What do you think you learned the most in your freshman season?

I’ve really learned how to face adversity and thrive as leader through it. The few previous years I haven’t really been given many challenges. But this year I really had to take a leadership role and lead my teammates. And when times got hard I just had to keep a level head and always encourage my teammates

Favorite memory this season?

My favorite memory was throwing about a 55-60 yard touchdown the first play of the season

What does Normal Ironmen football mean to you?

Ironmen football means the world to me. I was once the ball boy for Normal just to get that sideline experience from a young age and really soak it all in and realize what it takes to be apart of such a great program with such rich tradition. Bottom line it’s just something I love to be apart of.

What goal do you have for yourself next season?

My goal is to win the starting varsity quarterback job and I also hope to earn even more respect from the upperclassmen and also do something special things in the playoffs
