Naperville North's Junior Defensive Tackle CJ Kuhter Talks Huskie Football

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams

CJ Kuhter Class of 2020 DT 6'4 300 Naperville North

CJ Kuhter how was your 2018 season?

My 2018 season went well, it was cool finally playing out my dreams of being a starter on Friday nights. I’m glad I got the opportunity to start and play this season giving me experience others didn’t have

Favorite memory?

My best memory would be the first time I heard my name through the loud speakers for a tackle, it made me proud of myself that the work I put in was paying off.

What do you like about playing on the line?

I love playing the line because I’m always in the action there is contact on every play and I love the rush of getting a sack or a big tackle.

What should college coaches know about you?

They should know that I’m a very coachable player and I’m always willing to get better. I play football out of the love for the sport and my team. Coaches should also know I’m hardworking and I’m a born leader, I love to watch others around me succeed with me it’s team and your only as good as the weakest link there is no time to be selfish.

What goal do you have for yourself for this upcoming season?

My goal for this upcoming season is to help lead my team to the playoffs which is very possible with the team we have this year. Also another goal is to show the younger guys how to lead and how important the weight room in the off season is.

How does this Naperville North squad look for 2019?

I feel like we have a great group of guys who are hungry for wins and really put in the work to make it happen. We have some great underclass men that will be a key part to our team and a great core group of seniors who are willing to do anything for a winning season.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA
