Talking With Jacobs Class Of 2020 QB Cole Bhardwaj A Name You Need To Know

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their

roles on their respective teams

Cole Bhardwaj Jacobs Class of 2020 QB 6'1 175

Cole Bhardwaj how was your junior season?

Junior Year was a big learning experience for me. In week 5 our senior QB suffered a season ending injury in the third quarter, I finished the rest of that game and started the last 4. My first two starts were against the defending State Champions Prairie Ridge and the eventual State Champions Cary-Grove. Facing them will help me immensely in preparation for next year.

Favorite memory last season?

My favorite memory of the season was, throwing my last TD of the season to a childhood friend and teammate Nick Desmond, during his last game of his high school career. The reason it’s memorable is because he is the person I threw my first youth football touchdown too.

What does playing QB mean to you?

Playing QB means a lot to me. It’s a position I’ve played since I was six years old. It is the most high profile position in all of sports. I’ve always loved being in control of the team and being in control of the game. I’ve always looked at my job as to get the ball into my playmakers hands. I like being the guy, and being the leader and I like dealing with the pressure of the position. Reading defenses, audible calls, and always starting the play with the ball in my hands.

What should college coaches know about you?

College coaches should know that I’m hard working and willing to learn to be better. I strive to be great. I may not be the most talented but I will try to outwork you. Im very competitive have a strong will to win at everything. Most of all I’m a good teammate and better person.

What is a goal you have for yourself this upcoming season?

Most of my goals are team goals. My main goal is I want to help lead us to the playoffs. Beating Huntley, Cary-Grove, and Prairie Ridge because we haven’t beaten them in 5+ years. Some personal goals are; be consistent every game, I want to be one of the top quarterbacks in the conference and/or the state. Hopefully, play well enough to get college attention and be fortunate enough to earn the right to play at the next level.

Who are some Jacobs players we should be on the lookout for in the 2019 season?

There’s a few guys that I think will have really good seasons. Jacob Mobeck our RB had a great Junior season for us. He’s a tough runner inside and has the speed to break away also. George Trojanek will be a Junior next season. Played a lot as a sophomore at DE and can play offensive line too. He got in the DL rotation and took off last season played against older bigger kids and at times dominated them. Max Stec another Sophomore last season started at Safety and is ball hawk and a hitter. He reads plays really well whether it’s a pass or run. He also is a QB.
