Deep Dish Football Playoff Game Of The Week Player Spotlight Part 4: Batavia's DB Sam Barus Clas
So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams
Sam Barus Batavia DB Class of 2020 6'1 160
Sam Barus how has your season been so far?
Really good, by far the most enjoyable that I have been apart in
What do you like about playing defensive back?
I’d have to say the fact that you’re able to see everything develop in front of you. Also that I’m considered the make it right guy or the +1 in most cases which leaves me unblocked and free to fly around weather it be pass or run.
What field do you hate the most playing on?
Glenbard's , the short and older turf scrapes everyone up
Who was the toughest WR you went up against this season?
Alec Kritta, he was fast and had very tight routes
What do you see in this Nazareth team?
They have a strong but young quarterback, and multiple good receivers. I don’t know much about their defense but from what I’ve heard it is pretty good. It’s gonna be an all around battle this Saturday.
If there was one thing you could change about IHSA playoff football.. What would it be?
Id change the game days to Friday’s, just because I like the lights and later start time more.
What happens when Brutus goes missing?
It’s not possible that dog is kept under lock, the players don’t even know where he is until game time. Good luck trying though.
