Chatting With Lake Zurich's Class Of 2019 Star Linebacker Luke Dwyer

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams

Luke Dwyer Class of 2019 Lake Zurich LB 6'2 210

North Dakota State Commit

Luke Dwyer tough loss to Mt. Carmel… How good is that Mt. Carmel team?

They are a tough team for sure. Lots of size up front and good speed on the outside. We knew coming in that it would be a tough, physical game and it was.

What does Lake Zurich football mean to you?

Words can’t explain how much it has meant to me these last four years. I’ve learned lessons through this program to not only be the best football player I can be, but more importantly the best young man I can be.

Favorite memory this season?

Beating Stevenson. Coming off a tough loss to Lake Forest, a lot of people were counting us out. We never let doubt creep into our locker room, and responded with a tough win against a good team on the road.

Who is one offensive player you played against that gave you trouble?

All the skill players on Nazareth were tough. Lots of athleticism on their team.

What do you plan on majoring in college?

I’m not sure yet. I tried to give all of my attention during the season too my team. Now that’s the seasons over, I’m gonna really start planning for my future.

What did it mean to play with your brother?

It meant everything to me. It will be a memory that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

What advice would you give to next senior class of bears players?

To never take one moment for granted. Even the things that kids may not like doing, cherish those moments. You’ll never get them back.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA

RESPECT THE GAME
