Talking With Class Of 2019 York's QB Joe Javorek About Recruiting & Future Of York Football

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams

Joe Javorek Class of 2019 QB York 6'2 195

Joe Javorek what schools have you been talking to?

I've spoken with several programs from D1 to NAIA. I dont thinks fair to play any one off of the other. I can tell u verbally. I am strongly considering another option.

How did your season go so?

I personally had a good season. Got injured week 4 against GBW which affected me for a couple of games. Overall, i had a good season and York improved greatly. I'm proud to have been part of Yorks rebuilding process and I look forward to coming back at some point to watch what all the Sr's started.

How good can this York team be in years to come?

Very Good. Coach Fitz told us day one that rebuilding this program is a process. Next year they have a lot to look forward to with four returning o-linemen. York will have one of the biggest, if not the best o-lines in the state. Their are three good QBs to work with as well as two very good RBs. Coach Fitz and Coach Peters are great coaches and learned a lot this year. There is talent at all levels as well as a new attitude and work ethic. Hopefully the Srs left there mark and helped teach this program how to win, and what not to do.

What does football mean to you?

I love the game. I've played it every year since 1st grade so it's been a big part of my life. Every year I get better and I have a lot of good years ahead of me to play.

What would you tell a student who is intrested in joining York football?

Go be a Duke, but be prepared to go to work everyday as there are no days off! Go break the stone and beat West.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I'm a good student and there aren't many people that will out work me. I dont believe the hype and dont take part in it. No matter what, I will do my part in making any college football program better.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA
