Stagg's WR Mike Warfield Talks About His Senior Season & What It Means To Be A Charger

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Mike Warfield Class of 2019 WR Stagg 5'11 170

Mike Warfield how has your season been so far?

My season has been good so far i’ve been making plays on both sides of the ball for my team as much as possible, also i’ve been competing to the highest level possible accomplishing things that I never thought I was capable of such as creating a school record for the least amount of catches in a game for the most yards which was 5 catches for 216 receiving yards in 1 game.

What does Stagg football mean to you?

Stagg football means a lot to me it changed my entire high school experience freshman year. I wasn’t even planning on playing football until a friend of mine Rolando Shalor convinced me to try it out. The Coaching staff here at Stagg is terrific they pushed me to go hard and made me the player and man I am now. I’m proud to say that I will always be a charger.

What would you tell a student who is on the fence about coming out for Stagg Football?

Stagg football is a good choice for football because they not only teach you everything you need to know about football they teach you how to become a respectful man in school and in the real world today.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I would like college coaches to know that i’m a very hard working player, i’m willing to do anything that helps a team be successful also I can get the job done on the field and most importantly in school.

What has been your favorite memory so far this season?

My favorite memory so far this season has to be the practice week of homecoming because that entire week the energy of the practices were hyped everyone competed with each other

What senior advice would you give the younger charger players ?

Make every play count because after your senior year you won’t get to play another high school foo ever again go 100% on every play in the game also in practice

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA

RESPECT THE GAME
