Deep Dish Football Game Of The Week Player Spotlight: Libertyville's Class Of 2019 WR Jack Turco

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Jack Turco Libertyville WR Class of 2019 6'3 190

Jack Turco how has the season been so far for you?

So far it has been a good season for me. I have worked to become an important piece of the offense and I have been able to make some big plays. I had to make some adjustments after our first string quarterback got injured in the second game but after working a lot with the new quarterback I think we both gained some confidence and had success.

Favorite memory so far this season?

My favorite memory was definitely when I had a 70 yard touchdown catch in the first quarter of the first game. It was an incredible start to the season for me and was very exciting because it tied the game.

What does Libertyville football mean to you?

It means family, tradition, and fun. We all push each other in practice and have a lot of fun throughout the season and off season.

What do you see in the Lake Zurich team that might cause you guys problems for the upcoming game?

They always have a strong and athletic defense. They also have a good passing game that we will need to defend in order to win.

Alright this is my first game in Libertyville what should I be on the lookout for?

This is homecoming week for libertyville so things will be very exciting. You will see lots of community spirit and some fireworks and It will be an overall great experience. The student section will be pretty fired up as well.

What should college coaches know about you?

This is only my third year of playing football, I have played many other sports through my high school career (Baseball, soccer, Basketball). I feel that I have a lot of room to grow and I also have a deceptive quickness and competitive work ethic

Who else should I keep an eye out for on the Libertyville team?

Niko Christensen. He is an all around great athlete. He is the work horse in the backfield and also plays defense. He is a leader and a hard worker.
