Meet Providence's Lucas Porto Class Of 2020 Tight End/WR

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Lucas Porto Class of 2020 Tight End 6'4 185 Providence

Lucas Porto how has the first two games been for you?

The first two games of the season have been great. With a younger and more inexperienced team I’m very surprised on how well we are doing as a team. I’ve been learning a lot up on the varsity level and continuing to grow as a person and player.

What college coaches have you talked to?

I haven’t talked to many college coaches yet. I have received emails with a lot of camp invites but my schedule is very conflicting with those camps considering I am a three sport athlete.

What should college coaches know about you?

I think that college coaches should know that I am a very coachable athlete. I can go where ever the team needs me and I am a fast learner.

Favorite memory so far from this season?

My favorite memory from this season so far is I was not starting for the first game. After my performance in the first game of the season I have now become a starter. So, I would say that my favorite memory is the first game of the season

How good can Providence be this season?

Health is the key if the entire team stays healthy we will for sure make a run in the playoffs. We have had a lot of injuries this season and I think because of that we will be underestimated but I believe in my team and coaching staff. I think we can make the playoffs and potentially get far

Give me a Providence player that coaches need to take a look at?

Jake Renfro is an excellent lineman and great person he is very experienced at the varsity level and a great team leader and captain for our team.
