Talking With Class Of 2019 New Trier's 6'6 Lineman Terry Zapf About The Upcoming Season

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams

Terry Zapf New Trier OL 6'6 280 Class of 2019

Terry Zapf what schools have you been talking to?

I’ve been talking to the Ivy League and NESCAC schools as well San Diego, Valparaiso, Dayton and Stetson

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I want college coaches to know I care about my teammates and will do anything for them

What does playing on the offensive line mean to you?

It’s the most important part of the team and it’s the part of the team that works together the most on every play. Also it’s a big responsibility to protect our quarterback and running backs.

Game you are most looking forward to this season?

The Loyola game. The playoff game last year was really disappointing but we’ve been getting ready to play them this whole summer. Also I know everyone is really pumped to have another shot to beat them.

When I say New Trier Football what comes to mind?

Grit. Brotherhood. Legacy.

Favorite pregame meal?

Italian Sausages prepared by Carla Kahler

Funniest O Line Story that you witnessed?

After we beat Maine south in the linemen challenge, we all went to Taco Bell with Coach Pekmez and almost everyone threw up after because of the amount of steak chalupas eaten.
