Meet Riverside Brookfield ATH Christopher Doherty Class Of 2020

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams

Christopher Doherty Riverside Brookfield Class of 2020 Athlete 5'10 160

Christopher Doherty what schools have you been talking to?

As of now I haven’t personally been talking to any schools yet. I hope to receive more looks after my junior season and get in contact with more schools.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I’m a very dedicated person who sets his goals high and pushes himself to work toward them both in football and school. I always try to both better myself and my teammates by leading through my actions and words.

How does Riverside Brookfield football look this season?

Personally I feel we have a very good mix of seniors and juniors who work towards a common goal of winning together. Our returning starters on the team are all super talented and I’m excited to see what they can do along with my other teammates who have really stepped up this off-season in coming into their new roles on the team.

Game you are looking most forward to this season?

I’d have to go with Aurora Christian and Wheaton Academy I think both teams have a lot of talent and will both be big tests for us early on in the season and towards the end. They both have a good core of receivers that I’m excited to cover and demonstrate my skill set against.

Funniest guy on the RB roster?

We have a lot of funny guys on our football team but the two funniest guys on the team are Dom Rowe and Corey Dishmon. Both guys get a good laugh out of everybody and know when to lock in when needed.

Name me a RB player that college coaches need to take a look at?

Like I said earlier I think we have a few big playmakers so I can’t say just one. I think coaches need to look at Joe Shelven, Dario Marchica, Luke Gentile, Elliot Royer, Dom Rowe, and sophomore Antonio Vargas. All those guys are dynamic playmakers who I think will all have big seasons this year.

What goal do you have for yourself this season?

My goal is to develop my talents at running back and corner this upcoming year, but more so doing whatever I can to help translate my play into wins for the football program and continue to develop the culture the program has built for itself in recent years under Coach Curtin.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA

RESPECT THE GAME
