So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams
Patrick Seas Aquin Class of 2019 ATH 6'2 190
Patrick Seas how does Aquin look this season?
Pretty good. We had lost a lot of seniors that were big parts of the team, but we’re full of guys ready to fill in. As well as some of us returning players.
How has the response been with new head coach Broc Kundert?
Everyone on the team really likes Coach Kundert. We all have seen he truly wants to develop the program and he is able to talk with us normal, not always strict like many coaches.
What doe Aquin football mean to you?
Aquin football means tradition to me. The tradition of excellence has always been there, and we try to uphold it. We try to be our best, and playing in arguably the toughest conference helps.
Game you are looking the most forward to this season?
Our senior night game vs Stockton is my most anticipated. Having been from Stockton, and playing vs family, the pride is on the line.
Give me a Aquin player that people should keep an eye out for?
Andrew Bowman is a younger player that I truly enjoy to be around. He’s like me, hates to lose. And he has so much potential to be great.
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
A personal goal for this season is for us to win the conference, which hasn’t been done in a few years. As well as for many of us to be all conf. players.
Toughest player you went up against last season?
In a way, the toughest I went against was Ty Stykel during scrimmages. Our younger players are tougher than most, and they truly make us work hard.
What do you enjoy playing on defense or offense?
My favorite position on the football field is Defensive End or Defensive Tackle. Nothing holds you back from going and getting the ball.
