So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams

Britton Morris Class of 2019 North Boone 5'11 175 QB

Britton Morris what schools have you been talking to?

I have been talking to Illinois State, Western Illinois, and not too many schools to be honest with you.

What does football mean to you?

Football means a lot to me. It’s been something that has been apart of my life for my whole life. It has brought me some of my closest friends, and taught me a lot about life and adversity. Football is something I think about almost 24/7.

What would you like College Coaches to know about you?

That I’m a leader, and would do anything to win and help my teammates succeed. And that I’m super competitive, I think that has been the one thing that has gotten me this far.

Favorite memory from last season?

Beating Dixon in the final seconds, and seeing all the hard work come together.

So how does North Boone look this season?

We are a very young team with a strong core of leaders. We lost a lot of talent to graduation, but if we stay healthy and get better every week I think we should be a fun team to watch.

What game are you looking most forward to this season?

When we play Byron September 21 at Home. They haven’t lost a conference game in a couple years. And I really hope they are undefeated when we play them so we can be the first.

What goal do you have for yourself this season?

Obviously I want to throw for a lot of yards, or run for a lot of touchdowns. But I want to elevate my teammates to a level of play they weren’t at in the beginning. So probably be the best leader of my team I can be.

Toughest defense you faced?

Monticello in our playoff game. They were really well coached, and made us be perfect.

What would you tell any 8th grader intrested in going out for North Boone football next year but is still on the fence?

Do it while you can. We play in a really fun offense that allows the athletes to showcase their skills. As well we have by far the best coach in the area Aaron Sullivan. As well as great coaching on the lower levels with Ryan Kelly.
