Talking With Dundee-Crown's QB Josh Raby Class Of 2019

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams
Josh Raby QB Dundee-Crown 6'5 175 Class of 2019

Josh Raby what schools have you been talking to?
I have received a lot of interest from The University of Indianapolis and Winona State. Some other division 2 programs showed interest during the camp season as well.
So how does Dundee Crown football look this season?
Dundee Crown Football looks a lot better then years past. We were fortunate enough to have 18 starters return from last year where we got good varsity experience. We are now able to add some new things in on both sides of the ball that we haven’t been able to do in years past. We are working to return to the playoffs for the first time in awhile and I think we have the group to do it.
What do you like about playing QB?
I love the fact you are involved in every offensive play and the offensive runs through the QB. One of my favorite parts has to be the ability to make changes on the fly at the line of scrimmage and have the respect a coach does when he’s not on the field.
Favorite memory from last season?
The East Aurora game of last year because on all sides of the ball we clicked. Offense was rolling putting up points and the defense held them in check. Special teams recovered 3 onside kicks in a row that helped secure the victory. Also the fact we had fans make the hour and half drive down to support meant a lot as well.
What is your favorite route to throw to?
Easily the corner route because of the success we had on it last year.
What do you think people mistaken about Dundee Crown football?
Most people when they see our name on schedule think it will be an easy game based on how we fared in past years. I strongly believe that if people think that this year that the results will be different. I am confident in what our players and coaches can do and excited to see what happens.
What would you like college coaches to know about you?
That I am a competitor on and off the field. Also the fact that I never give up in everything. It would have been easy last year to throw in the towel come week 8, week 9 only having one win but I just went out and competed until the final whistle.
