Whats the energy in the locker room with New Head Coach Cornell?
Coach Cornell has an enthusiasm unknown to mankind. He has the same energy whether it’d be a 6 am practice or a daily workout. He’s always pushing us to be the best athletes can be. He’s knows a lot about football with experience as a player at the University of Illinois and the NFL. It’s more than football he’s teaching us, but also how to be successful. Favorite Memory from last season?
My favorite memory from last season was when we took the lead off a two point conversion with 30 seconds left in the 4th quarter against Quincy Senior High. Even though in the end we lost the game, I’d do anything to go back and relive those short few minutes of glory. Crosstown rivalry, packed bleachers, our local news airing the game on TV, it just doesn’t get better than that. What does Quincy Notre Dame football mean to you?
Raider football to me is a family. I think it’s one of the big reasons for our programs success over the years of making the playoffs. We’re continuing the legacy that past players left for us, to work hard everyday. What do you want college coaches to know about you?
I am a hard working individual that hates losing. I know that nothing is given to you and everything is earned. I also work hard academically with a 3.6 gpa. I’ll do whatever it takes to win. Funniest guy in the lockerroom?
I’d say the funniest guy in the locker room would be Simon Holtschlag. When he says something sometimes thats funny i can’t tell if he’s serious or joking. Give me one QND Player that coaches might not know but need to know?
I’d have to give you two. Coaches need to know Dalton Venvertloh and Johnny Ohnemus. Dalton is a great running back that runs straight up the field and makes cuts at the right times. Johnny is an athlete. He’s been practicing three positions wide receiver, running back, and quarterback and has speed What goal do you have for yourself this season?
As a wide receiver, my goal is to catch all catchable balls through my way and be a leader for my team
Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA
RESPECT THE GAME
