Boyd is a interesting recruit for the Class of 2020 in Illinois. Great burst of speed of speed through the gap and ability to make defenders miss. This season will be important to his growth and development, when junior season is the spark season for RBs. Its also key that he can also play on defense, and make big plays.
Correyante Boyd what would you like college coaches to know about you?
I’m a hard worker, don’t mind switching positions to better the team, school come first, I play RB/SAFETY/ATH currently sitting at 5’7 175 going into my junior year and that if they put they trust in me I won’t let them down
What does football mean to you?
Football means everything to me, at first it was just a game that I enjoyed but I started to love it and take it serious now it’s more like a lifestyle it help me get through all my problems in life
Favorite memory from last season?
Peoria Manual game scoring my first touchdown on varsity
What did you do in the offseason to better yourself for the upcoming season?
I worked out a lot I took the weight room serious I gain 7 pounds and I did a lot of field workouts and speed workouts I know I’m going to get the ball more so I been working on perfecting my craft for the upcoming season
What position do you feel most comfortable?
I would have to say running back I just love putting the team on my back and having them trust me and at running back you control the game and tell the defense where to go
So how does Central look this season?
Central is looking real nice this year we got a lot of people sleeping on us last year they were all young and they want to play and come everyday with energy I’m glad to be apart of this team we are definitely going to shock a lot of teams this year
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
My goal is to rush for 1,000 plus, I plan on leading my team to a state title and on defense I want around 75 tackles And 5 picks I set my goals higher then they should be so I can achieve more
