Lincoln Way Central produces a lot of great multi scheme players. Jake Leggero will be a player to keep an eye out for when he goes to the varsity level this season. Keep an eye out also for Senior Gabe Meyers a intriguing defensive back for college coaches.

Jake Leggero how does Lincoln Way Central look this season?

Our team this year is built on speed and strength. This spring our skill guys won the 7 on 7 challenge for the second year in a row. We look to build on their success going into the 2018 season. Favorite memory from the sophomore level last season? My favorite memory from my sophomore season was our team win over Lincoln-Way West. Obviously, they are our crosstown rivals. This was a highlight for our team because West has a solid team and a winning history. What do you like about playing on the line?

I like playing on the line because it is a battle from the first snap to the last.

Game you are looking most forward to this season?

I approach every game with the same level of intensity and enthusiasm, but truthfully I am looking forward to just playing under the Friday night lights!

What does Lincoln Way Central football mean to you?

Lincoln Way Central football means brotherhood, teamwork , dedication, and tradition. Both of my parents graduated from Lincoln-Way and my dad also played football there. I am lucky to be a part of this school and team.

What goal do you have for yourself this season?

My goal for this season is to approach and prepare for each game like it’s my last.

What player on Lincoln Way Central should College Coaches should keep an eye one?

Well, that’s a tough question for me to answer. I have seen greatness in many players on our team. I guess I would just suggest you come on out to our opener at home against Richards on August 24th and hopefully we will put on a good show for you.
