Talking To Nazareth's David Oglesby Class Of 2019 Defensive Back
So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.
David Oglesby Class of 2019 Nazareth 5'11 193 DB/ATH
David Oglesby is going to be part of one of the most dominate secondaries in the state of Illinois for 2018. Really impressed with David's playmaking ability, on the offense and defensive side of the ball. His ability on DB to trace a route and his anticipation to make a play at WR is amazing.
David Oglesby what schools have you been talking to?
I have been talking to Butler, Drake, South Dakota, North Dakota State, Fordham, Ball State, South Dakota state, Air Force, Concordia St. Paul and that’s all
What do you want college coaches to know about you?
I want them to know that I am a hard worker. That I play 3 phases of the game 110%
What position do you feel most comfortable in?
I feel most comfortable playing cornerback since I’ve been playing it all my life. I’m flexible on defense, I can move around to different positions
What did it mean to you to play with your brother?
It meant a lot because not only was he a role model off the field but he was one on the field too. He was like a coach I can play with. He’ll always tell me what I did wrong and he will correct me. It was nice to play with him for two years
What was your favorite memory from last season?
My favorite memory from last season was the day after we lost to Marist because as a team we grew closer and bonded more. We became more of a family and as a team we realized what we needed to do if we wanted to make our goal
What goal do you have for yourself this season?
My goal is to be a better athlete than last year. I need to work on my mental game and understand the game better.
How good can this secondary be for Nazareth ?
Our secondary is dangerous. We have the same secondary as last year but we are way better. We have the potential to become the best secondary in state.
