So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Zach Hartman Class of 2019 Linebacker 6'2 210 LaSalle Peru

COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Zach Hartman is linebacker that you got to keep an eye out for this summer. 6'2 with great frame, and ability to cover sideline to sideline is what makes him special in coaches eyes.

Zach Hartman what schools have you talked to?

I have been in communication with schools like Eastern Illinois, Western Illinois, ISU, Augustana, Wisconsin La- Crosse, Wisconsin Whitewater, Robert Morris, Northern Iowa and Minnesota State

What have you been working on in the offseason to better yourself for the upcoming season?

I have really been working on my strength and speed at after school workouts with the team and with my trainer to get stronger and faster for the upcoming season

Favorite memory from last season?

My favorite memory from last season would either be beating Peoria Rich East by one point in overtime by a winning field goal or beating our rival Ottawa on their field for their homecoming

What does LaSalle Peru Football mean to you?

LaSalle Peru football to me means a tradition of hard nose football with very physical players with great history and a great community and fan base behind you while you are out there playing under the lights

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I would like college coaches to know that I am a very smart linebacker with great instincts and a great leader who is very physical and a down hill player that can also drop back and cover guys or zones, that I can make tackles in open field or in a cluster and I am a very hard worker that will give you 100% all the time

What game are you looking most forward to this season?

I am looking forward to obviously our game against Ottawa next season because we are rivals and it is always a hard fought game with smack talk and also very emotional and driven to beat the other team or our first game against Morton, that would be a great game to win early in the season to start out 1-0 and bring energy and confidence to the team

Give me one player on LaSalle Peru that college coaches need to take a look at?

I would say Cole Lynch, he is a very skilled defensive end with great moves that can get around or through any offensive linemen, he is also a smart player that knows his responsibility and everyone else’s on the d-line, he can also create openings for other players to make plays
