COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

6'4 and quick off his feet, Jacob Snell has to be in the discussions as one of the best edge rushers for 2020. This Junior season will exciting to watch because of the level of progress he made his sophomore season, sky's the limit for Jacob.

Jacob Snell what schools have you been talking to?

I’ve only had one brief conversation with the coach from Northwestern, Miami of Ohio, and Boston College

How was the Beebe House of Speed Combine?

It went really well. I got my best 40 time of 4.73 seconds and was awarded the MVP for the linemen

What do you want college coaches to know about you?

I believe that I’m easy to coach because of my hard work on and off the field. I’m always trying to improve.

Favorite memory from last season?

I’d have to say our playoff game against Lincoln Way Central. It was a hard fought, hard hitting game which lasted the whole 4 quarters but we won it by a last minute touchdown.

What does Benet Football mean to you?

It means so much to me. The guys are great and I think we do so well because of how close we are as a team. I also went to a couple of Benet Football games in Middle School and the energy we have at the Benedictine Stadium is hard to beat. That’s when I knew I wanted to go to Benet and play in front of those types of crowds.

What do you like about playing the defensive line?

I like the line because there’s not a better feeling than getting a sack or a tackle in the backfield. My coach, Coach Hembrough, is also a great coach and a great guy so I love playing for him.

Game you are most looking forward to this season?

Our game against Naz. It’s always been a huge game for us and everybody comes out to watch so I can’t wait.
