Thomas Motzko is one of the best linebackers in the state of Illinois. Could be one of the most talked about recruits in the June offer season for Illinois. Thomas does everything right as a linebacker and makes the right key reads, takes great pursuits.Type of player that can play many roles on a college team if need be.
Thomas Motzko what schools have you been talking to?
The schools I have been talking to as of right now is most of the Missouri Valley Conference Schools (North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Illinois State, etc) and a few other big FBS level schools like Iowa State, Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, etc.
Its Early, How does Highland Park look for the upcoming season?
Highland Park is looking great for the upcoming season! We are all very focused and excited with our new head coach and we all have a very strong bond this year that feels unlike any other
What do you like about playing linebacker?
What I love so much about Linebacker is being able to be the leader of the defense. I also love how physical you get to be in the trenches and how you also get the chance to drop back into space. You really need to be an athlete.
Favorite Pre-Game Meal?
For my pre-game meal I usually go pretty light with the food. Usually like a jimmy johns and a protein bar.
Funniest guy in the lockerroom?
Funniest guy in the locker room has to be my best friend Noa Morgenstern.
Favorite memory from last season?
My favorite memory of last season was blowing out Deerfield (our rival) in the pouring rain. Probably one of the most fun games I have ever played in.
What do college coaches need to know about you?
College coaches need to know that I am an explosive, fast, High IQ linebacker that can play side line to side line and make tackles and play out in the open. Also they need to know that I take my academics very seriously and I am a leader on and off the field. I may not be 6'3 240 but I promise I am more athletic and harder nosed then most players.
