Hunter Flowers Class of 2020 QB Carrollton 6'3 195

COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Hunter Flowers is one of my top 2020 QBs to keep an eye out for in Illinois. Very raw and yes small school QB but has talent to play at the next level and grew to a height of 6'3 now. Growth in is decision making, and throws will be looked at for his junior season.

Hunter Flowers what schools have you been talking to?

None as of right now

You had a great season last season, What do you credit that to?

My coaches for believing in me and my receivers who made me look good by catching almost everything I throw to them

What have you done in the offseason to improve yourself for this upcoming season?

Well this past season I injured my shoulder in week one of playoffs and continued playing with it being hurt. I got surgery in January and I am now rehabbing to get back to 100%. I am already stronger than last year just by doing the strength exercises they have given me. I go to physical therapy 2 times a week and will start throwing footballs again on May 16th which is next Wednesday

What was your favorite memory from last season?

We are a small 1a school and we had to play a good 3a Beardstown team and they had us up by a touchdown and we drove the ball 60+ yards down to the goal line and on 4th down and goal with 20 seconds left we ran a halfback pass and succeed and won the game

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I’m athletic. I keep good grades. I understand the way most offenses work. I’m coachable. I have great character and I’m a leader on an off the field. I’m around football everyday of my life. One of my uncles is the head coach another one of my uncles is the defensive coordinator. I’m looking forward to continuing to make my team better in the offseason with hopes to go further into the playoffs next year

What Carrolton football mean to you?

Carrollton football has become very successful since going to the state finals in 2014. Since then we have won our conference 6 years in a row. Carrollton football is full of high expectations. And it means a lot to me to live up to those expectations

Give me a Carrolton player or players that college coaches should keep any eye out for?

Wide receiver Nathan Walker

What game are you looking forward to the most this season?

Regular season: Camp Point Central, they beat us on our last regular season game to make us 8-1. Post Season: Tuscola, they beat us by 28 points last season to end our playoff run. Carrollton has never defeated Tuscola
