Williamsville's Bradley Olysav OL/DL Class Of 2019 Q&A

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

 COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Bradley Olysav athleticism is off the charts and ability on the defensive line is proven.  Key thing will be his summer camp to see his progressions and playing a full season in the fall.  Really think that Olysav has the potential to raise some heads this fall to be late season riser.

Bradley Olysav what schools have you been talking to?

From a football standpoint, I have been talking to coaches from Cornell University, Greenville University, St. Ambrose, Augustana, Saginaw Valley State, and Olivet Nazarene

Favorite memory from last season?

Well I only got to play one game last year in the 3rd round of the playoffs because I ended up breaking my ankle in the preseason, but I think my favorite memory last year was just getting to play in a game. I’m not one who likes being on the sidelines so when I finally got in a game, that was a great feeling.

What are you doing in the offseason to improve yourself for the upcoming season?

Here in Williamsville we take the weight room very seriously. So a lot of work in the weight room. I am also working on my foot work and getting rid of some bad habits I have had in the past like leaning in my pass pro

What does football mean to you?

Oh man, football has been a very important to me my whole life. I started in kindergarten so  as far back as I can remember I have always been playing football. My dad was my first coach and he truly made me fall in love with the game. It may be cliche but football means the world to me. This is all I have ever done my whole life.

What do you want college coaches to know about you?

I am a hard working kid who is looking to make an impact on the team as soon as I get there. I come from a very competitive family so I love competition. I’m one of those guys that hates nothing more than losing.

What game are you looking forward to the most this season?

I am looking forward to having the most fun with my brothers out there this season. We have been working to achieve our final goal of winning a state championship and I believe we will be capable of doing it.

Name one player on the Williamsville Squad that college coaches should take a look at?

Only one? Jeez I don’t know if I can only pick one. But definitely some guys to look our for will be Grant Daykin, Keegan McGann, Damon Coady, and Peyton Knowski.

This will be your senior season, What does that mean to you?

Man I hate to see football in Williamsville come to an end but this is what I have been working for since kindergarten. Football is very big here and I just remember looking up to the high school guys more specifically the seniors as superheroes. So It is an amazing feeling finally being the guy that these kids look up to. Its more about the kids in the community and the guys I play with than it is me.
