COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE
Connor is a great route runner and has a pair of great hands. Creates space against defenders and can make a big play against soft coverages.
Connor Thomason what schools have you been talking to?
I have been in touch with McKendree University, Indiana Wesleyan University, Knox College, Concordia Ann Arbor.
How is Mahomet-Seymour looking for the upcoming season?
We as a team are looking stronger up front. This senior group isn’t very big but we are special. We went 7-1 our freshman year and 9-0 our Sophomore year. Most of us have been playing together most of our lives and we are excited to see how this final campaign goes.
What does Mahomet-Seymour football mean to you?
Mahomet-Seymour football is family. We win together we lose together. The Mahomet-Seymour football team motto is “You’re my blood! We are brothers!” And that really resembles our team as a whole.
What motivates a Connor Thomason?
I’m motivated by a lot of things. First off I play every game for my mom who passed away when I was 9 she was my biggest fan and I want to make her proud. Next is I play for my town. Running onto the Frank Dutton field on a Friday with the whole community behind you is an incredible feeling.
Give me a Player that college coaches should take a look at from Mahomet Seymour that might not have yet?
Costen Campion is going to be a Jr linemen he has incredible skill and heart. Very athletic and mobile.
Game that you are looking forward to this season and why?
Washington week 1. I believe it’s going to be a great test for us as a team. Last year they came to Mahomet and beat us 41-0 we were a young team and have learned a lot since then and I believe we are a better team than we showed to be. It’s going to be a great opportunity to face a very good football team week 1.
What should college coaches know about you?
I am a very kind person who will respect everyone. I am an extremely hard worker. I play the game with passion and heart. I will give 100 percent at practice everyday and work my tail off no matter the day. I’m going to wear what ever College gives me the chance jersey with pride and with heart, and I will give that program everything I got!
