So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Luke Richards Casey-Westfield Class of 2019 OT 6'6 250

COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Luke Richards will be a late riser for the summer recruiting pipeline. 6'6 wide frame, and great athletic ability is what make Luke one of the better OL recruits in Illinois.

Luke Richards What schools have you been talking to?

I have talked to Central and Western Michigan, Southern and Northern Illinois, and Illinois State.

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I would like college coaches to know that I am I hard worker and will bust my tail at whatever position they play me. Also that I will take responsibility on a screwed up play if it was my fault so i can learn from it and let them teach me what I need to do better.

Favorite memory from last season?

My favorite memory from last season has to be getting the victory on the last game of the year. We only won a few games last season and we came out against Olney, who is a huge school compared to Casey. And showed the whole league what's to come if you sleep on us.

How does Casey Westfield look for this upcoming season?

I am excited for next year! We are having more kids going out and I think a lot higher skill level compared to the last 2 years.

Why do you like playing offensive line?

Being in the trenches and making room for our backs have always just been a lot of fun to me. Nothing beats the feeling of having the running back run right through the hole you made and break it for a big gain.

Toughest defensive line you faced and why?

Red Hill was most definitely the toughest, strongest, and most physical d-line we played last season. They had a bunch of upper classmen and had one of their best years in school history I believe, they made it very far into the playoffs. They had some big boys.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA
