Talking With Rockford Lutheran's Tavian Hobson OL/DL Class Of 2020

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

Tavian Hobson Class of 2020 Rockford Lutheran OL/DE 6''6 285

COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Tavian Hobson is a working project, like every other linemen entering their junior season. Hobson has the tools to be one of the best OL in the state of Illinois for 2020. Really impressed with his pivot foot and ability to get under defenders especially with his size. One thing I got to say Rockford Lutheran has produced some talented athletes with high character these past years.

Tavian Hobson what schools have you talked to?

NIU, Northwestern, Northern Arizona University, Duke, Western Michigan and ISU

What part of your game have you been trying to improve in the offseason?

I have been trying to improve in my endurance, I have been running miles at my school to try to get my wind together and I have also been in the weight room a lot, I've gotten very stronger because of my strength coach Jamison Fausett, and I feel the future is great for me being at Rockford Lutheran and me growing into the beast I am meant to be on the field

What do you want college coaches to know about you?

I want them to I know that I am not only a student on the football field but in the class room, I'm what they like to call a gentle giant, and also how strong my faith is in Jesus Christ he is the very one who I thank for giving me this opportunity to speak with you

Favorite memory from last season?

Well being 1-8 was a hard pill to swallow, but out of all that I feel the game against Oregon high school had to be the best, it was raining and very slippery so we managed to keep running the ball and we evntually end up beating them 14-7 so we were very happy that night

Favorite Pre-Game meal?

It would have to be subway it's very healthy and gives me a lot of energy to play the game.

Funniest guy in the lockerroom?

Funniest guy in the locker room would have to be my friend tarieq he's a guy that would always hype us up before the game and he is a very funny guy, great person to be around though

What goal do you have for yourself this season?

I would like to become the most terrifying defensive and offensive linemen in the field and I can't wait to face our conference rivals Byron, they have always been known to best on us but not this year.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA
