Q&A With Class Of 2019 Maine South's Linebacker James Bartell

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams.

James Bartell 6'0 200 Linebacker Maine South Class of 2019

Bartell is a linebacker you got to like, ability to fight off blocks and make the tackle. Ability to read the offense, and sniff out the play.

Jimmy Bartell what schools have you been talking to?

As of right now I have been talking to Minnesota State University Moorhead and Dennison. Also Fordham University has shown interest but I haven’t had the chance to talk to them yet.

Favorite memory from last season?

Playing with my older brother definitely. It was fun having him on the team and it made the season a lot better.

Best game you had last season was?

Either against Palatine or Naperville Central

What goal do you have for yourself this season?

My main goal as an individual is to be a leader for my team and better my teammates

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I’d like coaches to know that I work as hard as I can to get better everyday and I try to make the players around me better too.

Give me a Maine South player that college coaches need to take a look at ?

Definitely Ryan Kilburg (2020) or Danny Wolf (2019). These two guys are studs and they are going to make a huge impact towards the team this year.

What does Maine South football mean to you?

Maine South Football is a family to me. I spend more time with my team and coaches than I do with my actual family and nothing matters more to me than my team.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA
