Bryson Lee St.Thomas More Class of 2019 QB/DB 6'2 150

COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Bryson Lee is one of the better athletes in the state of Illinois for the Class of 2019. Just take some time to admire his hudl and ability to make plays and make defensive coaches shake their heads.

Bryson Lee what schools have you been talking to ?

Indiana state and Indiana Wesleyan university are the two I’ve had the most contact with.

Watching your game film, How many plays do you think you kept alive escaping the pocket lol?

More than I needed to. We had a good line. It just took some time for the players, staff, etc. to gel. We know what to expect next year - so we anticipate big things.

What is one thing that you are trying to improve in your game this offseason?

To do before work with my entire team work on everything - strength and conditioning, individual position skills, and team cohesiveness. Also need to get better at my footwork, I have everything down but if I get my footwork down I could possibly be more elusive

What would you like college coaches to know about you?

I’m very coachable, I’m a team player, I always strive to stay positive in all situation and motivating and encouraging my teammates in my #1 priority.

What does St.Thomas More Football mean to you?

It’s a little hard to explain, but the feeling I get when playing for STM is way different than when I played with public schools. The faith and unity with the team, the coaches, and the school all together is amazing. No matter the outcome of each game we always have faith in knowing that we all gave it everything that we had. There’s something special about this place. It’s definitely helped me improve in all areas of my life - faith, academics, and athletics. I can’t wait for my senior year with my brothers. We want to leave a legacy!

Favorite memory from last season?

I have these set of brothers that I’m very close to on the team and they weren’t going to play this year but i talked them into it. Chad had most of the team touchdowns and Nate had none. So it was the last game of the season and Nate didn’t have one single touchdown. It was 4th down on the 7 yard line and I had a wide open run lane to the end zone, but I saw nate wide open and I thought to myself in that moment that he needed this more than me so I tossed it up to him and he scored. To be able to give him that feeling meant so much to me.

What does football mean to you?

It means everything, It’s been my whole life. When seasons end I cannot wait for it to begin next fall. It creates bonds between me and my brothers on and off the field and I pray everyday that I will be able to continue my football career in college.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting But About The Love Of The Game Of Football In The IHSA
