Danny Hynes Class of 2019 Stevenson Athlete 6'0 190

COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE

Danny Hynes is that Stevenson player for this year, highly motivated and athletic. Its testament to this SHS football program for years, and the type of players they produce. From Hynes, Fishbein, Vincent, Njongmeta, and Etienne to the rest of other players I talk about. Steveson is like a gold mine that college coaches got to stop by when they are visiting high schools.

DANNY HYNES WILL BE FEATURED ON COACH BIG PETE SCOUTING NOTES VIA FACEBOOK

Danny Hynes what school have you been talking to?

I’ve talked to Ball State, Cincinnati, Yale, and North Dakota. Most recently though I’ve been in contact with North Dakota St and Southern Illinois a lot

Why is it every year Stevenson revamps its roster with great athletes?

The coaches do an amazing job of getting kids to play who they think have great potential. Also, they’re very dedicated to us with our offseason workouts. This year in particular, the upcoming seniors and I have made an outstanding effort to make sure everyone buys in, and gets better every day so we can all strive on Friday’s this fall! Stevenson just has an edge that I’ve never seen before which pushes everyone to be the best athlete they can be

What in your game are you trying to improve in the offseason?

I’m trying to get bigger for defense but for offense I’m really working on my first couple steps/moves getting off the ball and getting as much separation as I can. I work with EFT and they do a great job of realizing my potential and making sure I get to where I need to be in order to stand out next year

Funniest Guy on the Stevenson football team?

Jm Etienne without a doubt. The thing that makes him funny is that he sneaks everything so the coaches think he’s super quiet but in reality he’s not! Lol! Also how he thinks he’s an All-American quarterback cracks everyone up

Favorite memory from last season?

Probably the game vs the team up north (Libertyville). It was an awesome experience being able to have an impact on a big, close game like that. Being able to beat them on their home turf and take home the jug was an unforgettable night! Everyone was so hyped and during the game the intensity was unreal

How is Stevenson looking this Season? Early Perspective?

I think we have a shot. The soon to be seniors and juniors want this year more than anything. We’re putting in so much work and not letting anyone slow down until we are on the top. We have so many weapons and although we lost players last year, we have upcoming kids who will fill those spots and go all out. We aren’t going to be the biggest that’s for sure. But we definitely play big and it will pay off in the long run

What is one thing that people mistaken Stevenson football?

We’re always underrated. We have to fight to the top in order to make a name. We are known as a powerhouse because of how hard we work to get there. Nothing is given to us. For example last year we weren’t ranked heading into the season which gave us a huge chip on our shoulder.

What do you want college coaches to know about you?

I want them to know that I’m a versatile player, I can play most skill positions and will put my heart into it. That I work very hard to perfect my craft and that I have a fun time while doing it. I always try to be laid back in practices because I think personally I play smarter when I’m not so tense. I’m a great leader and teammate and always give tips that I learn to my teammates to help beyond get better.
