Interview With Oswego East Athlete Ian Kroemer Class of 2019

So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know , but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams

Ian Kroemer ATH/RB Oswego East Class of 2019 5'10 170

Ian Kroemer is one of the better all purpose backs in the 2019 Class, great ability to burst through the gap. Looking forward to see a little more of his blocking technique this coming season.

Ian Kroemer what schools have you been talking to?

I have already received my first offer from a smaller D2 school in Pennsylvania called Seton Hill university. I recently have been talking to the University of North Dakota coach along with the University of South Dakota coach. I was in somewhat contact with Drake last year and hope to get back into touch with them.

What is one thing in your game, that you would say that you need to improve?

For me i’m not the biggest back and it has a lot to do with the intangibles. I’m trying to get as big and strong as I can but still keep my speed and even get faster. My vision is great and I know the game well and I have pretty fast feet but foot coordination is another thing I could improve with a lot.

What do you feel will be the biggest challenge for Oswego East in 2018?

To be honest staying healthy is going to be the biggest thing because towards the end of the year last year a bunch of our top guys went down and we filled their positions the best we could but was still a challenge. If we can stay healthy I know we can hang with anyone we’ll play.

What was one of your favorite moments from last season?

When we came out the gate and beat Joliet West first game of the season because everyone was doubting us and they were supposed to be ahead of us in conference and beat us but we came out and did what we were capable of doing to prove everyone wrong

Name me one Player from OEHS that college coaches might not know, but need to?

Nick Boissiere

Do you have any goals for this coming season?

My goals for this season and i can speak for my whole team when i say this, are to win conference and win a state championship
