Coach Big Pete's Take

Huge fan of the Lisle Coaching Staff and Parpet, well disciplined team with a tough nose attitude. Lisle has two great athletic QBs/ATHS in Lombardo and McGrath for the 2018 Season. Aidan is Class of 2020 but the kid can sling the ball under center and makes good reads.

JAY MCGRATH HUDL- Class of 2019

Aidan Lombardo tell me a little about Lisle Football and What it means to you?

Well as you may know from coaching at Westmont we are a small school that shows a lot of pride into what we do with the amount of players we have. From my perspective Lisle football it has been a big part of my life for a long time and finally stepping on the field for varsity so young, it's been amazing.

You are impressive especially being when you pass from taking snaps under center, What is one thing in your game that you take pride in?

Thank you and the one thing that I would I take pride in is how I can communicate with everyone and make sure everyone's on the same page but athletic wise I make sure I can perfect my ball placement for my passes.

What is one part of your game that you think you need to improve?

One thing I would like to improve on is my throwing mechanics because I have been throwing side arm for a long time so I'm finally putting it in the right spot over my shoulder.

Favorite memory from Last Season?

Throwing my first touchdown pass on varsity was probably my favorite memory, after it happens I realized I can compete with these older guys.

Its really early, How do the Lisle Lions look for 2018?

I firmly believe we will win conference championship, we got all conference players coming back and were #1 defense in the dupage county and the two fastest backs in the i-8.

I coached against older McGrath, How good is his little brother?

I would say he is one of the top QB's in our conference and shows great leadership throughout our program.

What is one goal for you this coming season?

To try and beat out our upcoming senior QB Jay McGrath, he hurt his knee at the end of the season so I played the last 3 games. Put coach said it should be a fun battle between us.
