Max Donahue Class of 2019 Ottawa-Marquette ATH 5'11 205
COACH BIG PETE'S TAKE
Max is just a pure athletic specimen, great as a running back and even better at defensive back. True Marquette plays 1A Football, but this is another small school athlete to keep an eye out for. Coached against this kid when he was freshmen and was impressive then and now he has crafted his game.
Max Donahue what schools have you been talking to?
I’ve been in contact with Ball State, Cincinnati, Southern Illinois, Buffalo, Drake, Columbia, and Mount Union.
Max I coached against you when you were a freshman on Marquette Varsity, you are a pure athlete.. What motivates you in football?
Winning. I think that having a win at all costs mindset is something that has helped me and my team succeed on the field. Getting an education is something that motivates me as well, the importance of life after football is something i value.
Alot of people dont know that much about Ottawa Marquette football, What makes Marquette Football so special?
I think because of it being a smaller school the team is definitely very close with one another and have a special understanding of each other. Consistency and discipline on and off the field are also things that i think make it the program it is.
What is one thing you need to improve in your game?
I think foot speed and explosiveness are things that i need to improve on
Who is one player that college coaches need to take a look at for the 2018 season from Marquette?
Definitely 6’2 255 OT OG Christian Reynolds, he’s a physically imposing kid who plays nasty. He has a pretty impressive Highlight Tape, and is someone who can play at the next level without a doubt.
When I say "small school football" what does that mean to you?
It means playing for the guys next to you week in and week out, and giving yourself up for the greater good of the team and community.
