Coach Big Pete's Notes: Great Size, and ability to blitz is what make Will Hare special. His ability to take on blockers and shed blocks is another key to his success.
Will Hare what schools have you talked to so far?
I have been in discussions with several schools and have 5 offers. One division 1 PWO to Indiana state. 4 roster offers from D3 schools, Berry college (GA), Coe college, Augustana college, Carthage. I am still talking with Drake, St. Thomas and U of Indianapolis.
How did you think you played this season?
There is always room for improvement. Obviously, we did not have the W/L record that we hoped. We played a very difficult schedule. I plan achieving my personal goal of 100 total tackles next Saturday.
What makes Libertyville football special to you?
It is special for me because I have been playing with most of these guys since 6th grade when I moved here from Georgia. We went to the football games and dreamed of being out there under the lights on Friday. There is a huge emphasis on family. The moms team up every week on Thursday after practice for milk and cookies. I really like the fireworks after the national Anthem at Home games.
What teammate to you needs to be more respected by the recruiting media?
I feel that Matthew Rudolphi our kicker deserves more credit. He is clutch in tight situations. He’s a good hardworking kid and chanting Rudy! Rudy! Rudy! Is pretty fun too.
What would you tell a 8th grader who interested in playing football but not sure?
Football is a not just a sport it is a lifestyle. You get a group of guys that you call brothers for the next 5 years and possibly longer. Football has been a great experience and I do not regret playing one bit.
What was your favorite memory this season?
My favorite memory this season was having my grandparents from Alabama and my Great Aunt up for Florida for my homecoming game. It was a great win that broke the streak from the past 3 years that every time they came to see a game we lost.
