What is Deep Dish Football?
Deep Dish Football at one time was not named Deep Dish Football but just an old group of coaches in the 50's that would hang out at Southside Neighborhood Bar Saturday night and talk about there week in coaching. Soon these coaches got old and retired and passed on the tradition to other coaches (i.e. Sons and other younger coaches). In 2014 disgusted with what was going in Illinois High School football with greed, too many middle men, parents, coaches not fit to coach. (FORUMS, Message Boards trashing kids and talking about injuries) People just making a profit to gain on kids dreams to be playing college football. They decided to have some fun and meet up to mock some of the so-called media "experts" (WHO NEVER COACHED IN THEIR LIFE) in high school football and their players to watch. Also one of the main things too, was people saying they represented the whole state of Illinois but never been south of Joliet in their life. Our Panel is from a varied backgrounds, race, economic backgrounds that make us so special. So a couple times of the year they meet up at a house and vote and rank according the three top college schemes used in college football. Have a couple drinks and dig into some pizza etc. and talk football. Publish the Rankings via a Publisher, 5 Publishers have been selected and all five have done a wonderful job except for some hiccups.
The Panel will always remain Anonymous and will only meet 3 Times a Year not including football clinics.
The Panel does not talk to the Publisher from June till December- Quite Period

In winter of 2016 Coach Big Pete was selected as Publisher 6 of Deep Dish Football and was the first publisher given full reign to go PUBLIC in April of 2016.

The Panel- 18 (as of Jan 17') Coaches and Scouts (College Coaches) from High School to College in and around the state of Illinois. We rank players according to the rating system and put to a vote to rank players of each senior class 3 times a year. (We adjust the system when schemes are seen as popular or least popular)
We have a member in each region of the state of Illinois and have three reporters that help us too. The Panel is not allowed to talk to the Publisher from June till the end of November.

WE WILL NOT SUPPORT COACHES PUTTING INJURED PLAYERS BACK INTO A GAME
WE WILL NOT SUPPORT ABUSIVE COACHES
WE WILL NEVER PUBLISH INJURIES
