So in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for lllinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Connor Corrigan DE/ER Naperville North Class of 2021

Connor Corrigan how was your 2019 season? In my first year at Naperville North I started as a defensive End and I was named to the All-Conference team for the DuPage Valley Conference. What schools have you been talking to so far? I have been in contact with Indiana State, Northern Illinois, Western Michigan and a couple of Division II schools. What does football mean to you? Football to me is more than just a sport. I have been playing football since I was in the second grade and I have learned that I have had success when I put in the work to get better. I have been able to apply this lesson to my academics as I have had a 3.7 GPA since transferring to Naperville North my Junior year. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? I have been really focusing on my size and strength. Last season I was 190 pounds and was only able to lift 150 pounds. I have focused on my diet and I have been working out daily, I currently weigh 230 pounds and can bench over 250 and I have the same speed and agility as I did as a Junior. What should college coaches know about you? That I have great passion for the game and I am a hard worker on and off the field. I have played a number of different positions on offense and defense which I think allows me to be a versatile athlete. I have made friends for life with many of my teammates and keep in contact with many of my former coaches. How does this Naperville North squad look for 2021 We are a team with a lot of confidence on both sides of the ball. Our defense is will disrupt teams and we will make plays. Players to watch out for this year on the defensive side of the ball are Adam Sturtz, Liam Breese, Camden Hirsh and Kevin Madden. I can’t wait to get back on the field and make plays with my team and end senior year the right way. Naperville North is playing with something to prove this year, and we are all so excited to get back out there. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the field? I feel like I have a strong instinct for the game and can anticipate the play before it happens. I have good vision and always keep my responsibility on containing the outside. I also know that even if I don’t make that play if I can disrupt the play enough one of my teammates will finish the job.
