Cooper Cerese Lake Park DT/DL Class of 2022 6'1 245
To start I feel blessed to have a season after missing all of last season due to an injury. Our team is in a rebuilding phase and we are starting off slow. From an individual standpoint, I set my standards high so that I can improve every game.
What does football mean to you
Football is my life! I’ve played football my whole life and my dream is to play D1 football and hopefully play professionally. In order to create that path for myself, I work very hard on academics and personal development in the gym and on the field!
What do you like about playing on the defensive line?
I like being the aggressor, I enjoy tracking down the ball carrier, and I enjoy the physical aspect of battle with the offensive lineman!
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
My football IQ is one my best traits! My ability to read the lineman in front of me and my foresight on the plays that are being run help me to excel on the defensive line.
What should college coaches know about you?
I pride myself on my academics, sportsmanship, and leadership abilities! My leadership abilities enable me to motivate and inspire my teammates. Sportsmanship represents helping my teammates identify their strengths and play to their best ability. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to be the best and help my team play to our full potential. My daily inspiration is: “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful” - Eric Thomas
