Arjan Jawanda Lake Forest OL Class Of 2025 6'0 215
Arjan Jawanda how has your offseason been so far? My off-season has gone well, in my eyes at least. I started off rocky with a partially torn ACL, which is now 100% and I have never felt better. I am up in weight by 30LBS by the end of the season, and I’m hitting new all-time highs in the gym. What do you like about playing in the trenches? I really enjoy the physicality, every play is like running into a wall, and you have to give 100% or else you end up on the ground. Another thing I enjoy while playing center is being in charge. As a center you have to know what everyone else has to do also, everything starts with you. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? I’ve been working on my pass blocking, along with leverage control, this past season I had an issue with standing up during pass protection and losing all of my power and leverage. I need to ingrain staying low into my brain.
What should college coaches know about you?
I hold myself to a high standard, if it is not done right, I fix it then and there. I also hold others to this high standard. If once person fails we all fail. One quote I love from Kobe is “I was chasing perfection and excellence and even though i would probably next catch it, the fact I was willing to chase it meant I beat most of my opponents, because most of my opponents would never chase something with no guarantee attached. I am willing to bet on myself every single time. I am the go to guy if someone has a question. I love this game with all of my heart, I will do anything for it.
What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
Personally, I want to be at least 240 LBS by the start of the year. I want to be a leader to the guys, and then for the team. We want to win that championship. We had a rough season last year going 3-6, so this is a bounce back year for us, and we’re coming for the championship 6A better watch out, Scouts are coming!
Who is the funniest coach on the Lake Forest Staff? Gotta be Coach Dewald or Coach Soprych
