Sean Lynch how is your season going for you so far?
So far, it’s going great I feel like I’ve started out hot and made a big impact on our shutdown Hinsdale Central defense. I believe I have fulfilled my roll and done much more, as well as making offenses scared to run the ball towards me. There is still much more to accomplish with three weeks left in the football season that I am looking forward to
What does football mean to you?
Football to me is more than a hobby and a game. Football is my passion, my career, my life, and my dream. Ever since I was a boy I looked up to my father, who was a captain on the football team at Wisconsin, Madison. My dream was the same as his, to play college ball.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know the work ethic I put in and the dedication I have to the game and improving every aspect of it is a player that would make a difference in their program. Just a year and a half ago, I was a skinny 160-pound kid who wasn’t fast, wasn’t strong and someone people wouldn’t consider an athlete. The work I’ve put into getting faster and lifting and eating has shown off on the field, I went from 160-230 and now am the strongest on the team as well as always coming ready and giving my all out on the field whenever I’m on it. Coaches should know when they recruit me, they are recruiting a player who’s going to bring excellent work ethic to the team
What do you like about playing in the trenches?
My favorite part of the trenches is the action. The trenches are where the physical players battle it out, there’s nothing more fun and satisfying than driving an offensive lineman off the ball. Or beating them in the pass game. The trenches are where the ball game is won.
Who on Hinsdale Central is having a breakout season? I would say Myself as well as my buddy and the other captain and CB Kevin Connors. Kevin’s ability to keep the ball out of receiver's hands and completely lock them down astounds me. His ball tracking is also insane. As well as he is a great tackler and dominant in the run game as well. We both contribute to a shutdown defense.
