Gavin Kole how was your junior season?
My junior season went very well. After a shortened spring season I hit the off season hard and stepped up as a junior as a full time starter, every game I felt my game improving and knew we were headed in the right direction as a team at lane and for myself as a player.
What does football mean to you?
Football is my passion, I love everything about it. It has taught me so many valuable life skills and given me so much joy, nothing beats that. What was your favorite memory from last season?
My favorite memory from last season was how our team rallied back from a bad start to the season. It really showed how bad we all wanted it and for me it made winning so much sweeter. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
I believe my strongest trait on the football field is my IQ. I study the game to be one step ahead of my opponents each snap, that paired with my length gives me an advantage. What schools have you been talking to so far?
Drake, Holy Cross, Valpo, WashU, UST, and some others. What should college coaches know about you?
I'm a hard worker on and off the field, I'm always finding ways to improve my game and am a great listener. No matter what, I will always give all the effort I can. What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason?
Speed and Technique, I've been working hard to develop both and love the improvement I've seen so far. My technique has already come a long way. What goals do you have for yourself this upcoming season?
1st team all-city and double digit sacks. What do you like about playing in the trenches?
I love pass rushing, pass rush is an art and every new move I add to my arsenal is like a new layer of paint on a canvas. How does Lane Tech look for the upcoming season?
We look strong, we have a group of hard workers who are tired of being overlooked and tired of losing, that along with the guidance of great coaching and I think we're in great shape.
