Damian Salazar how was your senior season?
My senior season was a season to remember. Though the plan I had for this year didn’t go as I wanted to with trying to make playoffs, the players I played with, and the coaches who coached me throughout the season will be unforgettable.
What does football mean to you?
Football means the most to me and forever will. I been playing football since like 6years old. It will forever be a memorable thing to my life, and it’s a dream of mine to continue it in my life playing in college and in the NFL.
What schools have you been talking to so far?
I’ve tried to dm and email my film to multiple schools/ coaches but I’ve only gotten one respond back from one coach and they gave me my first offer, and that is from Roosevelt University. I have not talked to any other schools besides them.
What should college coaches know about you?
That I’m a player with diversity. I’m just a young unknown player from a very unknown area, I’m a team player, playmaker, coachable, and will put my all to do what I have to do in order to win. I’m a player coaches would love to have on there team.
What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field?
My route running and catching the ball is definitely a strong trait of mine on the field. Whenever the ball is thrown my way I will come down with it. And my route running is like no other, I get enough separation for me to catch and run and make more plays upfield.
What do incoming players need to know about this Leyden program? Incoming players should know that coming into this program isn’t just to come. It’s for people who want to win and have a level of competing, and who wants to be great. They’re set up with great coaches around them to make them great and win games. But players have to do there job and coaches will do their’s in order for that to happen.
