Gavin Dooley Minooka QB Class of 2023 5'11 160
Gavin Dooley how was your spring season? It was great. Glad we got to play. Obviously we would of rather played 9 games but our team performed very well with the opportunity we were given. I threw for 11 touchdowns and 1,059 yards. Through the uncertainty of everything, Minooka football stayed ready for whatever was thrown our way. What should college coaches know about you? They should know that i'm a leader over anything and will put my team in the right direction no matter what. Also that I can be trusted on a big 4th down or 3rd down play when we NEED to convert. What does football mean to you? Football is my only sport and it is what I am constantly doing. If Im not at practice or a game, I'm training. If I'm not training, I'm working out. So, every move/decision on and off the field in my life is based off of football. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? Elongating the play and being patient when throwing. No matter how broken down a play is or what, i'll try my absolute hardest to make a positive play out of it. What part of your game do you plan on working on in the offseason? Physically, i'm working with Coach Greg Holcomb every week to get better and to add more thing to my toolbox. Learning and breaking down defenses is what I need to work on the most. I'm also doing chalk talks with my coaches to make me smarter. What do you like about playing QB? I like being the leader on the team and being the commander on the field. And mainly, I like being involved and helping my team score every play.
