Meet Lincoln Way Central Big Man JT Cordell Class Of 2025

So, in a way to better understand the use of Deep Dish Football for Illinois recruits and the whole entire IHSA Football scene. Decided to do player profiles of players who you might not know or you might know, but you should respect them for their roles on their respective teams. This is one of the many reasons why Deep Dish Football is respected in the IHSA. Every Football Player Has A Story To Tell

JT Cordell Lincoln Way Central OL/DL Class of 2025 5'10 215

JT Cordell how is your season going for you so far? My season is going pretty good so far, I am playing both offensive and defensive line. What does football mean to you? Football to me is a way of life, I’ve grown up on a football field being the son of a coach, watching and playing the game for most of my life. Football also teaches good life skills; you're going to go through some tough moments playing the game but it’s about how you respond to adversity and keep moving forward. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? To me my biggest trait on the field is my physicality, I always try my best to play relentless and with a motor, and always trying my best to help make plays on both sides of the ball. What do you like about playing in the trenches? What I love about it is that the game is won in the trenches! I love working with my teammates on the line weather it’s opening gaps for our running back, protecting our quarterback and on the defensive side letting our linebackers make plays and help create takeaways. Who from the Lincoln Way West 2025-2026 Class should I be on the lookout besides yourself? Some of my other teammates to keep an eye on our QB Luke Mensik, RB Tyler Tulk, WR Lukas Mandt, WR Kyle Miller, WR/LB Blake Richards, LB Ben Bernier, DE David Kent, DE Kade Wall DT Jerry Chavez and OL Decland Lynch, OL Ethan Toosley, and OL Chris Biel.

What goals do you have for yourself the remaining season?

Some goals I have is to become a better leader, finish my season with at least 3 sacks and push myself harder daily in practice.

Remember Deep Dish Football Is Just Not About Recruiting
