Derek Anderson Harlem QB Class of 2024 6'0 190

Derek Anderson how was your sophomore season? It was great, I learned the system and got comfortable in it, also learned of things I needed to work on this off-season. What does football mean to you? It means a lot, it’s my happy place, my calm place, it’s what I feel most comfortable and happy doing. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? My improvising ability, I typically scramble to give myself time or find a receiver to throw to, rather then scramble to run, I’m able to process the situation quickly and make uncomfortable throws. What part of your game have you been working on in the offseason? I have been working on my release to be quicker and more accuracy and velocity on every throw. I’ve been working on reading defenses, and pre snap assignments as well. How is your 7on7 season going so far? Great, our 16u team is doing phenomenal and we are 4-1. We are firing on all cylinders offensively and defensively. I’m learning lots from game situations and getting more calm. What is your favorite route to throw to? I love throwing a deep skinny post, letting it rip
