Nathan VanDeWoestyne Geneseo 6'4 245 Athlete Class of 2022
Nathan VanDeWoestyne how was your 2019 season?
My 2019 season was a big learning season for me. It was a big jump from the freshman to the varsity level. Over the course of the season I made some big improvements to my game. By the end of the year I was way more comfortable with my ability to compete at a high level.
What does football mean to you?
To me football has always been my favorite sport. I love being around the game whether I’m playing or watching a game. To me football also brings a sense of brotherhood between my teammates and I. We’ve all played with each other for years and that camaraderie is something I love about the game.
What should college coaches know about you?
College coaches should know that I’m a hard worker who will put the team before myself. I also work hard in the classroom so grades will never be an issue for me. What position do you feel most comfortable at? I currently play TE/HB but I’m very willing to move inside if that’s where I’m needed. I’d be comfortable playing wherever my team needs me. What do you feel is your strongest trait on the football field? I feel that my strongest trait on the field is my mentality. When a play goes wrong on the field it’s important to not let that get to my head and effect the next play. I feel that I don’t let mistakes impact my future plays and that allows me to move forward and continue to do my best to help my team win games.
